Things to do

Parks & local towns

Arundel historic town is just 20 minutes away where you can explore it’s historic castle with beautiful tudor boutique and antique shops together with plenty of tea rooms. Petworth, Midhurst, Chichester, Horsham, Worthing and Brighton are also easily accessible and will provide you with plenty to do and explore.

Visiting therapist

We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Kelly from Revive Therapy who has devised a treatment List especially for our guests. Should you wish to take the opportunity to have a relaxing facial, massage or other treatment whilst you are here.

Yoga sessions

Local yoga teacher, Manna, is available for yoga sessions. Our yoga classes offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, our experienced instructor will guide you through a variety of poses and breathing exercises designed to relax your mind, body, and spirit.

Please contact your host, Donna, to arrange a session.

Pubs & restaurants

There are plenty of traditional country pubs in the area, most of which offer locally sourced high quality food and drink.

We would highly recommend The Selsey Arms in Coolham, The Rising Sun in Nutbourne, The White Lion in Thakeham and The Red Lion in AshingtionThe Blacksmith Arms in Adversane serves a lovely Italian and will also deliver.  If you are happy to venture a little further afield then The Sportsman at Amberley has lovely views over the Brooks and The Countryman Inn in Shipley serves delicious fish and seafood.

You are also spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants and we would be happy to offer recommendations.

Water sports

If you’re looking for a fun family day out from camp why not visit Pulborough Paddles and rent a Canoe, Kayak or Paddleboard. You’ll be well looked after by this family run business on the banks of the beautiful river Arun which is only 10 mins drive from Cattlestone. Bookings can be made either side of lunch at 11:00 or 14:00 via their website. Facilities include free parking, toilets and onsite refreshments. There’s even a pub next door, everything for a great day out by the river.

Vineyards

We have two Vineyards on our doorstep (Nyetimber and Kinsbrook). Nyetimber sits at the top of the hill behind woodland at the back the farm and Kinsbrook offers wine tours and tasting together with a restaurant.  If you would rather walk to a vineyard, then we would suggest Nutbourne as an option as this can be accessed directly from the farm via public footpaths and will take around 40 minutes.

Activity Centres

Looking for more all-age adventures on your holiday?

Look no further! Out of Bounds is your ticket to escaping the ordinary and diving head-first into a world of different fun activities – whatever the weather! Are you up for some Clip ‘n Climb? Maybe their new, exhilarating outdoor high ropes (10yrs+) around adventure nets with their soaring long zip lines are more your thing? Perhaps your kids would like the jumping pillows and soft play that’ll leave them tired and ready for bed?

For something a bit more competitive, outdoors you could be teeing off
on our wild safari-themed adventure golf, while indoors you can aim for a strike on the ten pin bowling lanes, or join an open laser tag session.
